‘Casita’ means ‘little house’ in Castellano.
‘Kiwi’ is the name of an indigenous bird in New Zealand. Our name ‘Kiwi Casita’ reflects the combining of our two cultures offering the opportunity to experience life in a traditional Bolivian home while enjoying the comforts and hospitality of a first world country.
As your hostesses and as tourists ourselves we have enjoyed many of the sites Bolivia has to offer and would be happy to pass on that experience.
Kiwi Casita is of adobe (earth) construction. The homestead was originally constructed in the 1800’s and has recently been completely redecorated. The adobe walls make the house fresh in the summer and warm in the winter. They are also a very good means of soundproofing which makes for a peaceful and private stay.
It is located on the corner of large vineyard. There is a view of the vineyard from the double bedroom.
With beautiful arches in the courtyard, old wooden doors and windows, terracotta roof tiles and wooden beams, it makes for a very relaxed, comfortable stay. Time to unwind from the local hustle and bustle of life and from your own cares and worries.
